This icon informs readers about the most current and reliable version of an article and notifies them of any updates, corrections, or changes if applicable.

What is CrossMark?

CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative managed by CrossRef, providing readers with a standardized way to identify the authoritative and most up-to-date version of a publication.

IJBL believes that maintaining a complete and reliable academic record is crucial for researchers, librarians, and readers. By clicking the CrossMark icon on any article, readers can access the current status of the article and publication-related information.

Application of CrossMark in IJBL

The CrossMark icon applies to both current and future issues of IJBL. However, articles published online prior to official publication may not display the CrossMark icon until they are fully published.

Types of Publications Covered under CrossMark:

·         Addendum: Published to include important information that authors unintentionally omitted during submission.

·         Corrigendum: Published when authors identify errors in the published article that may affect its accuracy.

·         Erratum: Published when editorial or formatting errors are detected in figures, tables, or other components.

·         Preliminary Notes: Short research notes or observations.

·         Correspondence: Letters to the editor or replies.

·         Book Review: Critical analysis of published books.

·         Removal: Abstract, main text, and PDF of an article are removed, and an explanation is published.

·         Replacement: An article is retracted and a corrected version is published; the PDF includes a link to the retraction notice.

·         Retraction: The main text of an article is retracted but retained in PDF form with a ‘Retracted’ watermark.
